Everyone is welcome, whether they read a book and want to share or they just want to listen and learn!
Participants are asked to read a book on the topic of Disease in History. Plagues, illness, and contagious diseases have had a great impact on the flow of history and recent events are only the latest example. The Black Death during the Middle Ages, the decimation of the native populations of the Americas and Australia after contact with Europeans, the fight against polio, and the AIDS crisis are only a few of the possible topics. Each person will have an opportunity to share what they read with the group during the meeting. No written summaries required!
The meeting will be held through the remote conferencing platform, Zoom. If you would like to join in, please register below by Tuesday, August 4th so that you will receive an invitation via email to join the meeting!
