MORE Community Read (Adults) Mtg Rm

Thursday, November 87:30—8:45 PMMeeting RoomMelrose Public Library @ the Beebe263 W. Foster Street, Melrose, MA, 02176

The library is partnering with Melrose Organizes For Real Equality (MORE) for a community read!  Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of an American Family, by Amy Ellis Nutt, is a non- fiction account of a family who adopted twin boys, one of whom, from a very young age, identified as female. It follows their journey from having traditional views on gender and identity, to accepting and embracing, and then strongly advocating for the rights of their daughter, Nicole.  Those wishing to attend the discussion are urged to read the book; books are available in the Main Lobby of the library.  Judy Tasker, a mother of a transgender son, will start off the evening with a brief talk and q/a about their journey.  Sign up online or call the library to reserve your seat (781-665-2313); seating is limited!
