History Book Group (Adults) DJK Rm

Wednesday, July 77:00—8:45 PMOnlineVIRTUAL , , , MA, 02176

Join a lively discussion group focused on history! Members are asked to read a book or article on the monthly topic and be prepared to tell the group about it, or just listen and learn. New members are welcome to join and experience history from many points of view on one topic - no other history book club offers this unique approach!

This month's topic:  Colonial America up to the Revolutionary War.

Participants should read a non-fiction book of their choosing related to an aspect of Colonial America leading up to the time of the Revolutionary War.  Perhaps you want to explore what daily life was like for colonists, learn more about early Boston, or dive into events leading up to the Revolutionary War.  Join in at the meeting to share your findings with the group or, if curious to see what a meeting is like, just come and listen.

Need help finding a book?  Checkout this sampling of Melrose-owned books available through the library.  When in doubt, please contact the library (melref@noblenet.org or 781-665-2313).  The library is now back open to patrons, no appointments needed so come roam the stacks.  Alternatively, the library also offers e-books and e-audiobooks through Overdrive/Libbyand Hoopla.

The meeting will be held through the remote conferencing platform, Zoom.  If you would like to join in, please register before Tuesday, July 6 so that you will receive an invitation via email to join the meeting!

As always, if you have any questions, or if you no longer wish to receive emails pertaining to this book club, please contact the library.

Happy Reading!
