Meeting Room (Lower Level)

Meeting space reservations are limited to Melrose organizations of a civic, cultural or educational purpose (see our Quiet Study Room availability for individuals and other small groups).  Please review the information provided on the Meeting Rooms tab of the Melrose Public Library website and review the Meeting Room Policy before making your request.

The Meeting Room has eight (3' x 5') tables on wheels and 90 chairs on rolling dollies.  A center drop-down viewing screen and dual side screens are available for use.  A podium with attached microphone is also available. Groups using the Meeting Room may arrange the available tables and chairs as they choose, provided that all pieces of furniture are returned to their original positions at the close of the meeting. Because the library is unable to set up and break down rooms, groups requiring this service should seek alternate sites.

If needed, arrangements to familiarize yourself with the electronics in the room should be made prior to your confirmed meeting date (contact information for the Reference & Technology Librarian will be provided in the confirmation email).  Library staff familiar with the technology in the room will likely not be available at the time of your meeting.

Food is allowed in the Meeting Room, however, any debris must be cleaned by the group prior to vacating the room. Groups are responsible for providing their own supplies. The Meeting Room has an attached kitchenette that remains locked. Requests for access to the kitchenette must be made at the time of reservation. Public desk staff are not able to provide access to the kitchenette.

By requesting this room, the library cardholder hereby agrees to review and abide by all applicable Policies and Regulations for the space.
