Boston By Foot has presented walking tours of Boston since 1976. Dedicated to promoting public awareness and appreciation of Boston's rich history and architectural heritage, their guided tours and programs are conducted by a dedicated corps of over 200 volunteer tour guides. Check their website for a list of available tours, most of which take 90 minutes.

MELROSE PUBLIC LIBRARY - BOSTON BY FOOT

1.   Visit the Boston by Foot website to view available tours and schedules.  The library pass reservation calendar may not reflect changes to open dates and hours of operation.  The library pass does not guarantee admission on a chosen date.

2.   Reserve the MPL Library Pass for desired date.  The pass provides free admission to most walking tours for up to 5 attendees.

3.  You will receive a confirmation email with a  "Access Pass" link.

4.   Go to the Boston By Foot website to pre-register for your desired tour (pre-registration is required for all tours).  Enter  the library discount code (located under the barcode on the pass) in the discount code box for each individual ticket. 

Note:  Discount is not valid for private tours, annual celebration tours (Footloose on the Freedom Trail/Beacon Hill with a BOO!), or water-based tours.

Built in 1680, the Paul Revere House is a National Historic Landmark located in Boston's North End. It is the oldest remaining house in the area and where the silversmith lived during the American Revolution when he made his famous midnight ride. The museum at this site is comprised of the house, the PierceHichborn house (built in 1711 and seen by guided tour only), and a visitor and education center that provides information about the life and times of Paul Revere. There is a gift shop on the premises.

The library’s pass admits 2 adults  and 2 children for free.  Paul Revere House museum visitor requirements and operating hours. A visit usually takes about 30 minutes.

LOAN INSTRUCTIONS: This returnable pass must be picked up at the library on the “day of use” or the day before. Please bring your library card or ID when picking up the pass. Return the pass to the Main Desk or the outside book drop before the library opens on its next scheduled day to allow other patrons to use the pass.
